Australia will be the first country in the world to grid up with the brand new MINI COOPER WORKS R56 CHALLENGE CARS. These "close-to production" cars will quickly become iconic to Australian Motorsport, much like the classic MINI of the 1960's and beyond.
MHR has identified the MINI Challenge as a key motorsport series for the future and is now embarking on an exciting program to be part of this series in 2009.
The MINI Challenge will be racing as a support category to Australia's premier motor racing championship - V8 Supercars Australia.
Huge crowds and massive TV viewers will greet MINI Challenge in 2008. MINI Challenge has secured an 8 Round Series accompanying V8 Supercars throughout 2008.
Included in this series are iconic events such as the Supercheap Auto 1000 plus a brand new Phillip Island 500km endurance race.
The Series will begin in Australia’s largest city Sydney in early March and travel across the country with a final round in early December.
